This serene watercolor was painted by J.Maurice Hoskins in 1911. Named, "A Dead Calm," It features several sailboats on glistening, but barely rippling, water. Seagulls in flight and a tilting buoy complete the work. Signed and dated in the bottom lefthand corner. Excellent condition. Framed, it measures 20 5/8 inches by 14 inches.
