This experimental glaze vase is executed in the style of the artist Hugh Robertson for the Dedham Pottery factory. It is a high glaze with brownish, gray, green coloration. The long cylindrical neck gives way to a bulbous base. Roughness around the base attributed to removal from the kiln. Marked Dedham and initialed by the artist. It is 8 3/4 inches high and has a mouth diameter of 2 3/4 inches. Dedham Pottery began in 1895 and ended in 1943 near Boston, MA. |
