This Vienna, Austrian plate is meticulously hand enamelled and is in pristine condition. A deep cobalt background is enhanced with lighter blue flowers and birds. More flowers and reeds are painted in gilt. The reticulated border, with equally fine enamelling, adds to the beauty of this extra fine piece of porcelain. Detail is fabulous. This plate dates from the 1880's and has no chips, cracks, or repairs. It is 8 1/2 inches in diameter. |
