This wonderfully detailed French bronze features a young girl seated on a bench and winding yarn from a basket into a ball. A playful kitten sits on one side of the bench. A single strand of yarn goes from the basket under the cat's paw and into the girl's hand. Fabulous subject. This is a small bronze measuring only 5 inches high. The bronze is mounted on a 4" by 3" onyx plinth. Excellent condition with repair to one corner of the base. The front reads, "La Devideuse Par Maxim." Devideuse refers to the act of winding yarn. Maxim is the artist.
