Dating circa 1910-1920, this beaded bag has the sophistication of black jet softened by glass bead decoration in the form of flowers and a single bluebird on each side. The lining appears to be original. The beaded loop fringe on the bottom is typical fashion for this time period. The bag from the top of the strap to the bottom of the body is 15 inches with almost 3 inches in fringe at the base. I cannot be sure that every single bead is present, however, it is largely intact with no noticeable missing bead areas. Lining is, also, very much intact. |
