These Victorian urns have all the elements of mid-nineteeth century opulence. We believe they are silverplate, some parts with a gold wash. They stand on ebonized metal bases with feet. The body of the urn has garland and ram's head ornamentation. A portrait medallion can be found on front and back. The handles are winged griffen and nymphs. All in all the detail on these urns is incredible. The front of the bases have incised gold lines. Fabulous condition with minimal age appropriate wear. No breaks. Complete and beautiful, these stand 20 1/4 inches high. The bases are 6 1/4 inches square. |
