W2-MP217
Dancing Nude Muncie Pottery Deco Lamp The Muncie Pottery Factory was in business between the years, 1922-1939. This lamp is a fine example of their work and features draped nude dancers that may have been inspired by a similar Consolidated Glass Co. pattern that features dancing nymphs. Each panel around the lamp has a dancer in a different pose. The metal base of the lamp combines some of the Arts & Crafts elements with the Deco. Notice the, "M," on extended spokes. Muncie Pottery often used a system of numbers to identify their pieces. This one has a I A on the bottom. It measures approximately 26 1/2 inches tall and is almost 10 inches across at its widest point. There are no chips, cracks, or repairs.
