S18-BB29
Victorian Sterling (800) Biscuit Box Warmer Marked 800, on the bottom, this silver triple folding biscuit box is beautifully decorated. The shell shaped box has repousse roses on the exterior and on the center of the gilded interior. The interior, also, has pierced grills that have tiny spring hooks for opening and closing. The decorative frame rests on three feet - one with a minor solder repair. This biscuit box dates from the Victorian era. We have not polished it as many people prefer their silver with warm patina. The box is 10" high to the top of the finial and 6" across the bottom. All hinges work very smoothly. No dents to the silver. An, overall, great condition and extraordinarily striking piece.
