Q!-NORW
French Faience Normandy Cat, RARE This cat was produced in France in the 1920's. They were made of redware, similar to the Galle French Faience cats. The eyes are glass. These cats give a realistic appearance and were, often, used in architectural and floral settings. Some were used in gardens, along pathes, and even on rooftops. They were imported by The Barclay Company, Importers of Garden Wares, and sold in the United States. The bottom is marked, "France." Nice detail. Age appropriate crazing, but no chips, cracks, or repairs. This cat is 9 1/2 inches long.
